Kiss Me Organics Matcha Green Tea {Giveaway}

For a long time, I've heard about the benefits of green tea.  When I had gotten married, my husband was a big proponent of drinking green tea.  Prior to that I had never even heard about it.  Now green tea is readily available everywhere and people drink it often.  I've also seen recipes using Matcha Green Tea in baking, lattes and smoothies.  So when I got the opportunity to try matcha powder, I was excited to give this tea a try!

Creamy Chocolate Pudding Pops

I love to make popsicles for my kids.  In the summer, they enjoy sitting in the backyard and having a frozen treat to cool down.  I've seen some recipes for pudding pops and they looked really simple to put together.  These Creamy Chocolate Pudding Pops turned out really good!  They were a hit with everyone.  The best part is the recipe only has 4 ingredients!

Baked Fresh Strawberry Whole Wheat Doughnuts {SRC}

It is Secret Recipe Club time once again and this month I was assigned Fearless Homemaker.  I've been following Amy's blog for awhile now and absolutely love her photography.  Amy is a homemaker.  She not only shares her recipe, but also shares crafts and entertaining tips.  I love the story of how she and her husband planned a surprise wedding.

Whole Wheat Oatmeal Banana Applesauce Bread

I had some overripe bananas that needed to be used up.  I wanted to make banana bread but just about every banana bread recipe I've made or eaten really doesn't taste like bread. It's more like cake in a bread shape.  I love banana bread but wanted a recipe that was healthy and I wouldn't feel guilty eating it.  This recipe fit the bill!  It's mildly sweetened with honey, uses whole wheat flour, oats and has 2 fruits in it!  It makes a great breakfast toasted with some butter although it is more delicate than a loaf of bread.

Grilled Peach Melba Sundae {CLBN}

With summer almost here we are enjoying more ice cream and popsicles.  My boys love to site in the backyard and have a frozen treat.  Ice Cream Sundaes were a wonderful summer time treat for me when I was growing up.  My favourite was always vanilla ice cream topped with fudge sauce and some nuts.  I've never been one to stray from this traditional sundae.  Today I will be re-creating Canadian Living's July Cover Recipe which is a Grilled Peach Melba Sundae.  I was excited to try something different which used fruit that are in season right now.

Canoe Paddle Doughnuts {CLBN}

Doughnuts are a major weakness for me.  It is so difficult to stop at just one.  Growing up my dad would sometimes pick up a dozen doughnuts on his way home from Juma (Friday prayers).  He also had a weakness for doughnuts and anything sweet for that matter.  I've only made baked doughnuts at home.  I've never made the traditional deep fried ones.  When I got my assignment from Canadian Living to make Canoe Paddle Doughnuts I was excited to try them out!
