Circulon Prime Cookware {Review}

I have had some pretty bad experiences with non-stick pans.  The last set I purchased didn't stay non-stick for long.  Within 3 months everything was sticking to the pan.  So I was very excited when I got the opportunity to try out Circulon's Prime Cookware.  Circulon is new to Canada and is launching their Prime Collection Fall 2014.  What differentiates Circulon is their patented system which features a series of raised non-stick circles on the surface of the pan.  This reduces the amount of non-stick surface that comes in contact with utensils, minimizing surface abrasion and maximizing durability.  Today I will be sharing my experience testing out Circulon's 10 inch non-stick skillet.

The Ultimate Tarte Tatin

Today I'm remaking Canadian Living's recipe for The Ultimate Tarte Tatin.  We all love desserts with apples.  Recently we enjoyed Canadian Living's Classic Cinnamon Apple Pie which was a huge hit so I knew this Tarte Tatin would be loved by all as well.  This dessert is very different from apple pie as it is made in a cast iron skillet.  I've never made a dessert in a cast iron skillet so I was excited to give this method a try.

Classic Cinnamon Apple Pie with Crisco® No Fail Pie Crust

My all time favourite pie is Apple Pie.  I am not much of a pie baker and this is my first time baking an Apple Pie.  My mom makes a really good Apple Pie.  The star in her pie is the crust.  She has always used Crisco® No Fail Pie Crust.  I've tried to make low fat versions of pie crust using either coconut oil or olive oil but none have come close to Crisco® No Fail Pie Crust.  Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening now comes in 1 cup sticks which makes baking with Crisco® even easier.  Follow along below to see how I made Canadian Living's Classic Cinnamon Apple Pie with this great pie crust and don't forget to enter the contest (details below)!

Butterscotch Muffins {SRC}

After a busy summer, I'm back participating in The Secret Recipe Club.  This month I was assigned Feed Me Seymour written by Kim.  Kim shares "Just good food, made simply."  You can find recipes that anyone can make which is exactly the kind of recipes I like to make...nothing overly complicated.  I decided on making Butterscotch Muffins which were super easy to make and tasted great.
